The frills are the best part because they add a nice bit of texture and flow. I did have to give it a steam for a good twenty minutes to get the creases out from transit, so just make sure you've got the time to sort that out.

I needed something elegant for a formal charity gala last month and decided to give this one a go. The mermaid cut is stunning, but fair warning, it's definitely a snug fit! I had to pop on some good shapewear underneath to feel totally confident, but once I did, I felt absolutely fantastic. The strapless top stayed up surprisingly well; I wasn't yanking at it all night, which is an absolute miracle. The colour looks exactly like the photos, really rich and vibrant.

My only minor gripes are that the zip caught a bit right at the top, and delivery took a few days longer than expected.

The satin is thick enough to keep you warm, which was a nice bonus. However, because it's strapless and pretty heavy, by the end of the night after hours of dancing, I was definitely keen to take it off. It’s for sure a 'stand and look pretty' dress rather than a 'dance all night' one. Still, the photos came out absolutely gorgeous, so I’m stoked with the purchase.

The satin material has a surprisingly nice weight to it, not cheap or flimsy at all. It fit pretty well straight out of the bag, though I did have to get it taken up a bit as I'm on the shorter side.
