The mermaid flare starts at the perfect spot above the knee so you can actually walk normally. The sequins are sewn on well; I didn't leave a trail of them on the floor by the end of the night. It’s a gorgeous look for a fraction of what I usually pay for pageant wear. Just make sure you wear the right underwear because the fabric is pretty smooth.
