Visually, it's a ten out of ten. The way the sequins are arranged gives off this really cool shimmering effect when you walk. I felt super glam. But comfort-wise? Maybe a six out of ten. It's not the most breathable fabric, so I was sweating a fair bit during dinner. Also, the zip was a bit dodgy; I was terrified my hubby was going to bust it trying to zip me up. Once it was on, though, it looked absolutely stunning in the photos. If you're happy to sacrifice a bit of comfort for a cracking look, definitely go for it.

First up, the colour is stunning—exactly like the pic, really deep and rich. The mermaid silhouette really hugs your curves, which I loved. The sizing is a bit tricky, though. I followed the size guide spot on, but the waist was still a bit loose while the hips were snug. I had to get it altered last minute to get that perfect fit. Also, the sequins can get a bit scratchy under the arms after you've had it on for a few hours. It’s a beautiful dress, but just be prepared to make a few tweaks to get it right.

I didn't expect this dress to look as good in real life as it did online, but I was pleasantly surprised. I bought the royal blue sequin version for a winter wedding, and it was a massive hit. The sparkle is unreal! It catches the light beautifully without looking cheap. The long sleeves were spot on for the cooler weather, though I will say they were a tiny bit snug around my upper arms, so if you work out, maybe go up a size. The train is gorgeous but manageable; I didn't trip over it once. Delivery took about a couple of weeks, which wasn't too bad. Overall, I felt really confident wearing it and got heaps of compliments all night. Definitely worth the money for a special event.

I grabbed the black one for my Year 12 formal, and it was absolutely spot on. I was a bit hesitant about ordering a formal dress online, but the quality is actually surprisingly heavy and really well-made. It’s fully lined, so it’s not see-through at all, which was my biggest worry. Highly recommend if you want to stand out!
