I was after something that felt special but didn't scream 'try-hard', and this absolutely nailed it. The scoop neck showed off my necklace perfectly, and the ruffles gave it a fun bit of movement when I walked. I had it on for about six hours straight—sitting, standing, and mingling—and it didn't crush or crease like crazy, which is an absolute miracle for chiffon. The colour is deep and rich, holding up so well even under the bright venue lights.

The lace detail on the sleeves gives just enough coverage without making me feel like I’m wearing a hessian bag. I did have to get the hem taken up a tad since I'm a bit of a shortie, but that’s pretty standard for me. Overall, it’s a top pick if you want something elegant but comfy enough to have a boogie in all night.

The ruffle detail is a gorgeous touch that hides the tummy a bit, which I definitely appreciate after a big feed! The zip was a little sticky at first, but after giving it a few goes, it came good. It’s definitely a dress I can see myself wearing to heaps of different occasions, not just the once.

So, I grabbed this for my mum for my sister’s wedding reception. She’s usually pretty fussy about the fit because she doesn't like anything too tight around the hips, but this sheath style just skimmed over her curves perfectly. It didn't cling in the wrong places. The lace sleeves are super soft, not scratchy at all, which was a huge worry for her. We paired it with some silver heels and simple earrings, and she looked like a million bucks. Postage took a bit longer than I hoped, but the dress itself was totally worth the wait.

The material has a really good weight to it—it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy. I got heaps of compliments on the lace detailing; it looks way more expensive than it really is. My only tip would be to check the size guide carefully. I almost ordered my usual size, but after measuring, I went up a size, and it fits like a glove. Definitely reckon you should measure yourself first!
