This dress is a total winner for curvy gals! I struggle heaps to find formal wear that fits my hips without gaping at the waist, but the stretch in this material made it mould to my body really well. I wore this to a military ball with my hubby, and I felt so confident. The trumpet style kicks out at just the right spot above the knee, so walking is easy—you don't have to do that awkward shuffle. One thing to note is that because it's satin, you really need to wear seamless undies. Even with the thicker fabric, regular lines will show through. I chucked on some shapewear, and it smoothed everything out perfectly. The halter neck is also super comfy and didn't dig into my neck like some others do. I'm thinking about buying it in another colour for a cruise we've got coming up.

I absolutely love the neckline on this! It makes your shoulders look gorgeous. The material is thick enough that you don't need to worry about it being see-through, which was my biggest fear. I wore it with nude heels and simple earrings. Just be careful with jewellery because the satin can snag easily.
