I ordered this for my mum for her 60th birthday bash. She’s always feeling the chill, no matter what the heating is doing, and she wanted to look a bit glam for her big night. When she opened the parcel, she literally gasped. She absolutely loved how soft it felt. We tried it on with her silver sequinned dress, and she looked like an absolute queen. There's plenty of room to wrap it around comfortably without it feeling tight or restrictive. She spent the whole night dancing and chatting and didn't take it off once. It’s rare to find something that's both practical for keeping warm and actually stylish for an older lady, but this was absolutely spot on. I might have to grab one for myself.

I bought this shawl for a Great Gatsby themed charity gala my work was hosting. I didn't want to spend a fortune on a real fur piece that I'd probably only wear once, so this seemed like a good compromise. The colour is exactly as pictured, a lovely rich shade that went perfectly with my champagne-coloured dress. It’s definitely cosy! I found myself keeping it on even inside the ballroom because the air con was blasting. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is that the clasp was a bit fiddly to figure out at first, but once I got it, it stayed put. For the price point, it’s a great accessory to have in your wardrobe for dressy events.

I bought this for a Mardi Gras ball over in New Orleans. Even though it's the South, it can get a bit fresh at night during carnival season, especially when you're wearing a formal gown. This was the perfect accessory. It didn't hide the details of my dress but kept my shoulders warm enough while watching the parade go past. I was worried about stains since there's usually food and drinks flying around everywhere, but I got a little smudge on the lining and it wiped right off with a damp cloth. It’s not the flashiest luxury item in the world, obviously, but for a fun event where you want to look good without stressing over wrecking a thousand-dollar fur, it's absolutely spot on.

So, I bought this for a cruise I went on recently. We had a couple of formal nights, and the dining rooms on those ships are always freezing for some reason. This shawl was spot on. It packs surprisingly well; I just folded it gently in my bag, and it fluffed right back up when I took it out. I didn't even need to steam it. It sat nicely on my shoulders while I was having dinner and didn't get in the way of my food. The colour is neutral enough that I could wear it with my black dress one night and my emerald green one the next. It’s just a great staple to have for travelling when you need to dress up but want to stay comfy.

I grabbed this for my bridesmaids for my July winter wedding. We were having an outdoor ceremony (risky, I know!), and I didn't want my girls freezing in the photos. I ordered one first to test the quality, and I was sold straight away. It’s thick enough to actually block the wind but doesn't look bulky or awkward. They all reckoned they felt like movie stars wearing them. The lining is satiny and smooth against the skin, so no itching at all. One of my bridesmaids is actually planning to borrow mine for a New Year's bash she's heading to, so I reckon that says heaps about how much they liked them! It’s a really versatile piece that dresses up a simple gown instantly.
