I’m a plus-size girl and shopping for formal wear is usually a nightmare. I took a punt on this for my niece's wedding and was pleasantly surprised. It actually gave me a shape! The way the fabric falls across the tummy area is pretty forgiving. I did have to wear some shapewear underneath just to smooth things out, but that’s standard for satin. The colour is rich and deep. I felt confident all night and didn't feel like I was stuffed into a sausage skin. Two thumbs up from me.

The material doesn't have any stretch, so definitely measure yourself first! I felt super glam walking in. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is because the colour was a bit darker in person than on my screen, but honestly, it was still a stunning shade. I’ll definitely be finding another excuse to wear this soon.

I ordered this for a black-tie event my husband’s work was hosting, and I wasn't expecting much for the price, but wow. The fit was actually really flattering, especially around the waist. It has this gorgeous drape to it that makes you feel really put-together. The zip was a bit stiff at first, but after running some wax over it, it was sweet. I was comfortable sitting and dancing all night, which is pretty rare for formal wear. It’s a cracking choice if you don't want to spend heaps but still want to look expensive.

I ordered this for a charity auction. I wanted something that looked a bit classy. The one-shoulder design is really chic. I was worried the long sleeve would make me roast in a packed room, but the material breathes a lot better than I expected. The make is solid, though there were a couple of loose threads I had to snip off when I opened the parcel. No biggie. It’s a gorgeous gown that needs hardly any jewellery because the dress does all the talking. Top buy.

Righto, so I bought this for my son’s wedding last month. I was going for 'cool mum' vibes without stealing the show, and this absolutely nailed it. The satin fabric has a nice sheen to it, not too shiny, just right. I was a bit nervous about the one-shoulder fit, thinking I'd be fiddling with it all night, but it stayed in place perfectly. The sleeve length was great too. It arrived a little creased, but a quick steam sorted that right out. It’s a really stunning gown for the price.
