There were a few absolute non-negotiables for the dress I wore. It needed to cover the dreaded tuckshop arms. It had to be lightweight so I wouldn't be boiling while dancing, and to hide any sweat from all that dancing. I wanted it ruched on the side since that style does wonders for making me look a bit slimmer. It's also a massive help for hiding the bloat—wedding food will do that to you. I love a simple, elegant, understated style, and that can be a bloody hard find on its own. I had my eye on this for months, but the glitter held me back. But I couldn't find a thing when I hit the shops. Nothing else came close to what I wanted. So I ordered it with a lot of unknowns. I had no idea how heavy it would be, how the sleeves would sit, or if it'd even be comfortable. I couldn't believe it, it absolutely nailed every picky requirement. Not only was it light, it was also stretchy and super comfy! I never imagined I wouldn't have to compromise. It was everything I hoped it would be! I danced all night long while staying nice and cool. I got heaps of compliments. I'm just hoping another event comes up so I can wear it again. I might just do a Miss Havisham and wear it every day. Then when I'm old, get buried in it. Just kidding. Alright, maybe I'm not, but that would make me a bit mad. Maybe I already am. But let's not be judgy.
