I was looking for something modest but still gorgeous for a work Christmas party, and this green satin dress was absolutely perfect. The V-neck isn't too deep, so I felt totally appropriate around my boss, but the cut is still flattering enough that I felt really nice. It hits right at the ankle for me (I'm 168 cm), which meant I didn't have to get it taken up—huge bonus. The fabric has a beautiful sheen to it under the lights. It did arrive with a few creases, but a quick steam sorted that right out. I’ll probably wear this to church events too.

So, I gave this dress a go for my engagement photos because I wanted that elegant, flowing look without spending hundreds of dollars. I am so glad I did. The way the skirt moves when you walk is just beautiful. The stretchy satin material is forgiving, so it hugged my waist nicely but didn't cling to my hips. It was a bit fresh during our shoot, and having those long sleeves was a lifesaver. The colour is exactly like the picture online. If you're umming and ahhing, just get it, it photographs really well.

Right, can we talk about how comfy this dress is? I wore it to a dinner date that turned into a long walk around the city, and I wasn't dying to get out of it by the end of the night. The satin is super soft against the skin, not scratchy at all. I love that it covers my arms but the V-neck shows just enough skin to stop it looking like a nanna dress. The zip in the back was a bit stiff at first, but after working it up and down a few times, it worked a treat. A cracking find.

I was worried the satin might show sweat marks since it was a balmy evening, but the fabric held up really well and breathed heaps better than I expected. It’s got a lovely weight to it that makes it hang beautifully.

I snagged this dress for a NYE bash because I wanted something that wasn't covered in sequins for once. The satin gives it that festive shine without being too full-on. I could dance all night because the skirt is really flowy and gives you heaps of room to move. It’s also surprisingly warm for a satin dress. My only tiny gripe is that the neckline moved about a bit when I leant forward, so I used a bit of fashion tape just to be safe. Other than that, it was an absolute winner with my mates.
